NEW collection from Kaisercraft - **Save The Date ***

Well good morning everyone! It has been a while since we caught up, hasn't it? I hope that you are all well. Things for me have been pretty good, but just find myself constantly busy....chasing my tail as they say. Unfortunately scrapping, which used to happen EVERY SINGLE DAY , has been relegated to 3-4 on my list of things to do per week. Where once it used to be something I loved doing 'till very very late at night, it has now become something that I still LOVE to do but now I MUST do. My time is just so much more limited these days, and I was finding that because of scrapping things where falling apart in every day life.

I guess things changed for me when Maria started school this year. I don't know if anyone has told you this, but if you think life is busy when you have toddlers at home..just WAIT till they start school!! LOL!I really do not know what it is. In theory it SHOULD make sense..school hours are 9:00 to 3:00 ...perfect right? But there seems to be an endless amount of homework, uniform washing, lunch preparation, after school activities, NOTES to read, cooking, cleaning etc etc etc each and every day. I tell you..by night time I am EXHAUSTED ..Plus being winter, and so cold and miserable hardly puts you in a mood to scrap till very late doesn't it?

So I have slowed down a little bit. I do not scrap as much as I would like and miss it so much. I am easily meeting my DT deadlines as I backed off creating anything else, but I wish I could play along at challenges and do things the way I used to. I try to tell my self its just an adjusting phase and I will get the hang of it again soon. Also, I think I told you I started work 3 weeks ago teaching a Year 1 class. I only work there 2 days, but teaching is simply exhausting and even though I finish at 3:00 I don't leave the school ' till 5:00 because of all the preparation I must do for the next day. So those days are out for me. I basically get home just in time to make and have dinner , do the usual night routine before crashing in bed!

I sure do miss visiting you all. I wish , oh how I wish, I just had time to visit you all. I try and keep up to date with what you are all doing through Facebook and visiting some blogs but hopefully things will slow down at some point.

And let me tell you that she is not just a talented scrapper..that's really nothing compared to the amazing person she is or her loving nature and personality. Even though she is a red head LOL! So you really deserve this and I just can't wait to see what next for you :)

Bye all! I will be back soon with projects from the other collections from Kaisercraft released this month!

  1. HI! Glad to see you back online :D- you've been missed! Love your projects- I would have had a tough time with that range, but you did some awesome things with it and made them YOU- now that's talent!!

Thanks so much for your ultra kind words, Nadia- they really do mean a lot. Redheads might be fighters, but they can be lovers too, and loyal friends :D- I think you might have a little redhead in you somewhere ;),

    Take care hun!!

  4. Glad to hear you enjoyed a bit of scrapping again:) I sometimes think it's such a pity that I simply don't have the time to realize all the ideas I have going through my mind. If only we could buy a few extra hours for a day somewhere...
Your creations with this collection are just so pretty. I really love the colours and the little elements. The pinwheels look so cute.

  5. Oh I just adore everything you create Nadia, and your take on the Save The Date range is "so you"! I hear you on the lack of time thing - you'd think that with having a scrapbooking business I'd be able to scrap all day... umm no definitely not! I have however managed to make some cards with this same range - nothing as good as yours though! Keep up the great work :-)

  7. Wonderful projects - they really showcase the collection. I didn't realise you'd gone back to work - teaching is VERY tiring! No wonder you have had to slow down the scrapping - I'm sure you'll adjust:):)

  17. These are just beautiful. I love the album most of all though I am not really chosing a favourite. Your creativity is inspirational, so very clever.
I know what you mean about school times, when my four children were little I used to think, at last a little bit of me time....I never got it! I was always trying to get things done to make my evenings less busy so I could perhaps do some crafting or even watch the TV, so I constantly filled my days with jobs and then the evenings would come and we would have other things to do just as you say.
Keep up the good work. Hugs Linda x
